Autoimmune encephalitis is the term for a inflammation of the brain caused by overactivation of the immune system. These conditions are underdiagnosed and in some highly treatable.


Danish Reference Center for Autoimmune Encephalitis and Related Conditions  aim to increase the understanding of these conditions in order to provide the best possible treatment for patients.

Furthermore, we aim to provide information to patients and caregivers about diagnosis and treatment of autoimmune encephalitis. These pages are in Danish. Patient information can be found in Danish and Norwegian. Swedish versions will soon be available

Odense Autoimmune Encephalitis Research Group have evolved into


Danish Reference Center for Autoimmune Encepalitis and Related Condition


The center is hosted by Dept of Neurology at Odense University Hospital.

We aim to improve diagnosis, treatment and outcome for patients with autoimmune encephalitis in Denmark

CLINICAL STUDY


We have finished enrolling patients for our clinical study on long term outcomes in autoimmune encephalitis - look out for results coming soon


FUNDING


The Danish Cancer Society  granted funding for our projct on paraneoplastic syndromes
